this tutorial will teach you how to make something like this:

ok first off open a new project

then i rendered some clouds for my background layer

so you should have something that looks like this

then i reset the brushes to default this can be done by holding controll and D. (so black is your front colour and white is your background colour.)

in stage five you will need to choose a brush set, i download most of my brushes from http://www.deviantart.com/

then i made a new layer by going to layer>new>layer...

now you can start brushing away, i always use a different brush for a different layer

if an area of the sig starts to go too dark switch your brush colour to white and brush over it

once you are happy with your brushing and have a good balance from light and dark it is time to move on to the next step

ok now it is time to look for a render, i either go to http://planetrenders.net/ or go on google images, i have found a render that i like and am now going to cut it out and get rid of those unwanted bits

here is my render after i hav cut it out

now you need to resize the image by going to image>image size...

then make sure you make it the right size to fit into the sig, remember the sig hight was 150 but i have some annoying text at the bottom of this render so i am going to make the hight of it 160

now we need to Duplicate (copy) our render into our sig do this by right clicking you layer and clicking duplicate

now we need to change the destination on where to duplicate the layer to, select your other document

now we are going to start adding colour to the picture as it looks a little dull and boring, go to layer>new ajustment layer>colour balence

just keep the default settings when it asks you

i am going to start my colouring with some highlights, click highlight and then i changed the colour to yellow all the way, don't worry if it looks too bright because we will change that in the next step

on this colour layer i am going to render some clouds so instead of it colouring the whole layer yellow only parts of it will be yellow

you should now have something that looks like this, keep repeating this pattern but instead of clicking highlights click midtones

when you have finished colour balancing and it looks reasonable then select your lasoo tool

then at the top change the feather to 25 pixels

then draw a small circle away from your render and press delete, notice how the side of the render will start to disapear don't do it too much, only once or twice

and when your ready do it to the other side of the render too

after this i did a few more colour balances as i changed my mind, you don't have to do this but i did

now you will need to make a new layer, you can do this by going to layer>new>layer

now go to select>all or hold down controll and press a so that everything is selected, you should have black and white lines going around the outside of your sig

then with your sig still selected you need to go to edit>stroke

ok now the width of the stroke needs to be 3 pixels, colour white, on the inside blending mode normal and opacity 100

ok now we need to stroke it again go to edit>stroke

this time with a 2 pixel border and black

now you should have something that looks like this, select your magic want tool

and select the black outside bit of your border with your magic wand

then press delete

then go to the blending mode and select overlay

you should now have something that looks like this

now select your text tool and make a box anywhere on the sig, i chose to do mine in the bottom right hand corner

ok now might be a good time to download some fonts, i either go to www.dafont.com or http://www.1001fonts.com/ then type what you want in

the font i am using is called polish, i then moved it to the botom right corner

then you need to change the blending mode to overlay

--THE END--
